Marriott Sunset Pointe can be reached
Traveling from the north or south, take Interstate 95 to
Exit 6A (Highway 278). It is approximately a 40-minute drive to the Hilton
Head Island Bridge. Cross over the bridge and continue until you reach the
8-mile marker on Highway 278. Take a right turn at the light past the 8-mile
marker and proceed into Shelter Cove Harbour. Take the second left (Shelter
Cove Lane) and continue 6/10 of a mile. The entrance to the resort is on the
left.
Directions to the Welcome Center
Follow the directions to Harbour Point until you cross the
Hilton Head Island Bridge and proceed on Highway 278. At the 4-mile marker,
you may take the Cross Island Expressway ($1 toll road) or stay on Highway
278.
If you take the Cross Island Expressway, you will be
on Palmetto Bay Road. As you near the Sea Pines Circle, move to the left
lane. Turn left onto Dunnagans Alley, which is the last road before the
traffic circle. The BP gas station is located on the corner. Take the second
right into the Welcome Center.
If you take Highway 278, continue until you reach
the 11-mile marker. As you pass the last traffic light (Arrow Road), move to
the right lane. The Welcome Center is the first driveway after Hardee’s
restaurant and just before the Sea Pines Circle.
